Clasificación de los fondos según el SFDR
Implantado por la UE y en vigor desde el 10 de marzo de 2021, el Reglamento sobre la divulgación de información relativa a la sostenibilidad (SFDR, por sus siglas en inglés) busca mejorar la transparencia en materia de información sobre sostenibilidad de los participantes en los mercados financieros. El SFDR establece que los gestores de activos deberán facilitar documentación estandarizada sobre la integración de factores medioambientales y sociales tanto a nivel de entidad como a nivel de producto.

El SFDR clasifica los fondos en tres categorías:

Artículo 8
- Productos financieros que promueven las características medioambientales o sociales
- Características de los productos: En el proceso de inversión se tienen muy en cuenta factores ASG demostrables.
Artículo 9
- Productos financieros con un objetivo de sostenibilidad específico
- Características de los productos: Tienen una intencionalidad y unos objetivos de sostenibilidad específicos, que puedan medirse y controlarse.
